Full-Time Stanley, Black and Decker – CAD Application Engineer

Who You Are

You’re a passionate and detail-oriented person who loves product development. You’ll have experience in creating new products and have a strong interest in the CAD/ Drafting part of the process. You’ll be adaptable and flexible able to give detailed help to a product team on CAD planning one day, and be training a class of new hires the next, then on to a process improvement discussion. You have a genuine desire to standardize CAD and create more efficient processes and keep the product development machine moving swiftly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• As part of the CAD Best Practices team, you’ll be part of our Hand Tools Accessories & Storage group located distributed globally.
• Support and administration of PTC Creo
• Develop CREO Best practices for the global engineering community
• Develop, implement, and maintain all standardizations in Creo including but not limited to Start Parts, Drawing Formats, and Windchill integration
• Create best practices for drawings including notes, title blocks, and revisions
• Advise core team on best practices for how to model complex products
• Provide expert knowledge of PLM data management and integration with Cad Platforms
• Review license usage and needs to support all users
• Act as an advocate of PLM/CAD best practices, methods, and processes
• Understanding of configuration management best practices throughout the product lifecycle
• Work with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and other supporting functions in order to accurately structure new products and document product changes as part of the product development, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering processes
• Interact with Windchill change team to identify process improvement and enhancement opportunities, feeding back these ideas to the Hand Tools Accessories & Storage team

You’ll Also Have

• Bachelor s or Associate’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Creo
• Strong understanding of product development processes and product definition (for example Bill of material creation).
  problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
• Good MS Office skills – PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Project
• Working knowledge of Windchill PLM System would be a benefit though not essential
