Job Description

John Deere is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer located in Dubuque, IA with experience in Creo. At John Deere, we run so life can leap forward. Responsibilities

  • Be a leader for the collaboration with test and design for supporting structural evaluation needs
  • Analyze structures using Abaqus/Optistruct to perform modal, linear, non-linear static, dynamic analysis to support the development and refinement of designs from components to assembly level
  • Conduct correlation studies of analysis to physical test results
  • Support of product program timelines by efficient execution of analysis projects
  • Lead developmental efforts for the structural analysis team

Skills

  • 2+ years experience within a lead role
  • 1+ years experience with FEA (Abaqus/Ansys/OptiStruct) software
  • Strong computational and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 3+ years experience using FEA software
  • 2+ years experience with fatigue analysis software such as nCode
  • 1+ years design experience using CAD software (Creo)
  • Master’s degree in engineering or science

Education

  • B.S. degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering
