Full-Time SolidWorks Drafter

Tate Metalworks has an opening for a full-time Solidworks CAD detailer. Working with our Project Engineering Team, the Solidworks Detailer will generate fabrication and construction drawings specific to client specifications and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Complete 2D and 3D fabrication drawings of storage tanks and pressure vessels as follows:
• General Arrangement Drawings
• Detail Fabrication Drawings
• Field Construction and Assembly Drawings
• Structural Detail Drawings including stair systems, ladders, platforms, and structural support systems
• Generation of Project Specification and Non-Destructive Testing Drawings
• Utilization of Company drafting standards, weld procedures in the development of fabrication drawings Red-Line Drawing Edits

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Technical School or equivalent training utilizing Solidworks drafting software.
• (2) years minimum on the job experience utilizing Solidworks software.
• Work in office environment (40) hours per week at company headquarters
• Written, Oral Communication Skills, along with ability to read and understand technical specification documents.

Preferred/Helpful:

• Structural, Piping, and/or Mechanical Drafting Background
