Lake Lite, Inc is seeking to hire a full-time SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, engineering, and testing of new products. Expert in SW required. PLC and product design experience is a major plus. Automation design an extreme plus. We’re looking for an energetic professional who works independently and is creative to help our company’s continued growth.

We are seeking a motivated & experienced mechanical SolidWorks Engineer to join our company. This individual will assist a role in the R&D & engineering/automation department. This position will require working closely with the owner, sales team, customers, & production team to design new products, improve existing products, and engineer potential concept products & automation systems. Responsibilities will include producing detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies, & drawings for new and existing products, while updating various SOPs for production & assembly procedures. The individual will be tasked with bringing multiple products from concept to production and will be working part-time with a 5-axis CNC to generate G-code and manufacture various components for assembly. 3D printing experience required. The individual should be self-motivated and desire to create new products & solutions to bring to market.

Responsibilities:

· Design, draw, & develop new products within SolidWorks (expert in SW & CAM REQUIRED)

· Research new product concepts & opportunities and use 3D printers to prototype.

· Provide technical drawings & specs for suppliers to easily produce

· Maintain updated drawings & documentation

· Continuous design improvement of existing products & methods

· Product revision control – ECN

· Technical documentation content & update SOPs

· Generate instruction manuals for end-user assemblies and product use

· Help end users troubleshoot product issues and solutions by phone & email

· Field experience to generate new products & solutions

Skills & Experience:

· Expert in SolidWorks creating parts, assemblies, design tables , BOMS, details etc.

· Experience with advanced SolidWorks and manufacturing

· Experienced in SolidWorks sheet metal design required

· Basic CAM experience and understanding of 5-axis machining and operations

· Mechanical background, preferably in designing & fabrication of products

· Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects

· Ability to communicate with sales, engineers, and outside customers

· Familiar with the engineering process, revisions, ECR, change orders, etc

· MS Office and Adobe

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
