Job Description

Kabota USA is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer in Gainesville, GA. The quality engineer will work on all Kubota products from the point of testing new products (models) through the manufacturing process. This engineer will be challenged to find problems, determine the root cause, and provide solutions.

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, material science, etc.
  • Must be familiar with reading and understanding mechanical drawings with some understanding of electrical schematics
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • English language competency and legible writing ability
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in AutoCAD, MS Access, or SQL
  • Experience Engineering in the manufacturing field
  • A Master’s degree in manufacturing-related Engineering field is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of outdoor power equipment is desired
  • 1 – 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on mechanical experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • The engineer will work on all Kubota products from the point of testing new products (models) through the manufacturing process
  • This engineer will be challenged to find problems, determine the root cause, and provide solutions
  • Daily responsibility for the quality and quality improvements of assigned products that are being produced at Kubota
  • Project management responsibility for the testing and evaluation of new products (models) for acceptance to mass production at Kubota
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by supporting other team members as capacity issues arise
  • Special projects as requested and other tasks as needed
