Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Client Relations Specialist who will develop existing relationships with new clients as well as maintain relationships with our current clients.

Design Engine is committed to providing holistic education for product development, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing communities. We simply help designers, engineers, and manufacturers work smarter, not harder.

Design Engine empowers CAD professionals and the future minds of the industry to significantly increase their design and engineering capabilities through innovative and comprehensive training challenges.


This role will primarily focus on procuring new classes or projects with existing and new clients, creating estimates, scheduling classes, being a liaison between clients and team, following up with clients, invoicing, and receiving payments.

The Client Relations will work closely with the Development Manager to ensure Design Engine is exceeding client expectations and meeting our company objectives and goals.


  • Establish and build strong working relationships with clients
  • Manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects
  • Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis
  • Manage accounts of all sizes by representing your team externally with clients and internally by communicating with the team
  • Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the clients’ position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape
  • Use QuickBooks to write estimates/invoices for clients
  • Use PipeDrive (CRM) to manage client accounts
  • Use Google Drive – Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar to perform daily tasks
  • Build strong relationships with our clients by becoming a trusted source of guidance on how they can best use our software training and consulting services
  • Responsible for procuring, scheduling, coordinating, confirming, invoicing, and payment of classes and design services.
  • Provide product support and guidance as needed to clients.
  • Maintain high client retention and satisfaction by providing excellent support and an unwavering willingness to assist clients.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client leaders of all levels
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal and team member time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Google Drive – Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar preferred
  • Proficient with a CRM (we use PipeDrive) preferred
  • Proficient in QuickBooks preferred
