Contract Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

GeoLogics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all client effector products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments. Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements. Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Secret security clearance issued by the Department of Defense
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years of work experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools, with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric, Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging
• Experience with Configuration Management processes, applications, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM). Experience with cable design, specifically CREO Schematic

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Bachelor Degree Required

RATE RANGE: $60/hr – $74/hr W2 **Depends on experience and benefits chosen**

LOCATION: Tucson, AZ 85701 (no relocation package)

DURATION: 12+ months or Contract to Hire

CLEARANCE: Active Secret Security Clearance REQUIRED
