  • This opportunity is for a talented and dedicated Industrial Design Engineer that has understanding of architectural casework & millwork fabrication.
  • The work is a wide spectrum of innovative design-engineer-build projects that include, airports/hotels/restaurants, interior cabinets & countertops, high-end residential millwork, custom metal fabrication, displays and many more avenues of design / engineering & manufacturing.
  • You will be working closely with a production team to get desired results.
  • This person will be enthusiastic about bringing projects to the finish line.
  • You will help project manage as needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • You do not need a degree to apply for this job, but we do expect a level of expertise that can be displayed in accordance with our needs. 7+ years’ experience in Solidworks required (SWOOD knowledge a plus).
  • Creative, dynamic thinker with problem solving skills.
  • A basic level of the knowledge in the following areas is required. Millwork, POP design, sign design, interior cabinets & countertop, floorplans, & metal fabrication.
  • Being able to read and extrapolate information from architectural drawings is important to be successful at this job.
  • Review sales design to ensure that the design is compliant with the company’s product offerings and installation requirements and limitations.
  • Provide support to the Pricing, Production, and Installation Departments, as required.
  • Project management as needed.
  • Produce submittals within a 48-hour turnaround time.
  • High quality illustration techniques to effectively communicate concepts and intent is a plus.
  • Proficient Adobe Creative Suite skills is a plus.
  • Excellent craftsmanship and eye for details in building, drawing, & fabrication necessary.
  • We use SolidWorks daily to achieve necessary tasks.
  • Familiarity and experience in Keyshot and or SOLIDWORKS Visualize, to create renderings & submittals. Other rendering programs also a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
  • General Microsoft Office knowledge required.
  • Bluebeam knowledge required.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering to the Engineering manager daily.
  • Producing production/CNC ready part files and drawings using SWOOD and or Solidworks.
  • Submittal drawings.
  • Production drawings.
  • CAD Drafting.
  • Material take-offs (BOMs).
  • Estimating.
  • Project Management.
  • Production interaction for best way VE fabrication.
  • Taking initiative & ownership of your work.
  • Successful track record of driving organizational changes with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accountable for complete, accurate, readable drawings and estimates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
