Job Description

Homecrest Outdoor Living, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in our company, focusing on developing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency based on lean manufacturing principles. Job Duties
• Coordinate new product introductions and product changes with Design Engineer.
• Administer and oversee the engineering change process throughout the organization.
• Embrace and practice continuous improvement using lean principles, taking a lead role in evaluating automation
opportunities and productivity improvements, including process layout drawing development.
• Attend automation and trade shows, as well as technical seminars, to stay updated with improvement technologies and
practices in the marketplace. Travel to shows and events is required.
• Participate in product planning and tooling processes, becoming an integral member of the Product Development Team as it relates to process routing and development.
• Update routings and bills of material as needed, complying with engineering change rules and processes.
• Develop process documentation, manufacturing and assembly process instructions, and in-process quality standards.
• Lead the application of lean principles within a team approach to ensure stakeholder buy-in to all changes.

Requirements
• Training or competency in SolidWorks; knowledge of AutoCAD helpful.
• Practice and experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of bill of material and process routing design, as well as manufacturing costing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Competent business math skills (algebra, ratio, percentages, etc.).
• Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct presentations in front of groups.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including facility employees, supervisors, managers, and suppliers.
• Strong project management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred, or 7-10 years of equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment in a manufacturing engineering role.
