Job Description

We are looking for a Furniture Drafter to join our team. The candidate must have at least 1-3 years Solidworks experience or an equivalent software such as Fushion360 or Autodesk Inventor. We are seeking motivated candidates who want to grow with our company.

Responsibilities

  • There is a heavy emphasis on solid wood, alongside the use of veneered sheet goods, metal and other mixed media
  • All furniture pieces are hand-built to order
  • Modelling parts and pieces in SolidWorks
  • Working with Assemblies and using mates to create sub-assemblies and complete assemblies
  • Creating Shop Drawings for release to the shop floor
  • Keeping files properly named and organized on a server for communal use
  • Creating your own proofing checklist to ensure accuracy in your work before release to subsequent phases of the production process
  • The other engineers in the department will train best practices and answer questions


The Company

We are a fast-growing, made-to-order furniture company expanding to a newly built Dawsonville, Georgia, production facility. The line caters to the residential market through the interior design trade. There is a heavy emphasis on solid wood, alongside the use of veneered sheet goods, metal and other mixed media. All furniture pieces are hand-built to order.
