Job Description

Victaulic is currently seeking Mechanical Designers/Drafters to work within our Engineering Design Department at its corporate facilities located in Easton, PA. This position involves working within a collaborative team environment to design and document product solutions to satisfy our customers’ needs. The successful candidate should possess a strong aptitude for creative design, be resourceful, detail-oriented, and work comfortably within a cross-functional team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and/or modify concept layouts, 3D models, assemblies, and detail drawings utilizing SolidWorks Computer Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) software.
  • Research relevant components and technical resources in support of project objectives.
  • Provide design solutions while being mindful of form, fit, function, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Apply internal best practices along with applicable industry standards, e.g., ANSI, ASME.
  • Maintain the Technical Data Package throughout the product lifecycle, including drawings, revision history, bill of materials, literature submittals, etc.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers and the entire product development team.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Proficient use of a 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the creation of detailed drawings to fully convey form, fit, function, and the most efficient manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices/principles, e.g., interference checks, fits, tolerance stack-up/dimensional analysis, GD&T.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
