Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, extensive experience in the design and optimization of refrigeration and chiller systems, and a passion for developing efficient and sustainable cooling solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize fluid systems for various applications.
  • Create detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
  • Perform thermal and mechanical calculations to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
  • Select appropriate components and materials to meet performance and cost targets.
  • Lead and manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Prepare project documentation, including design reports, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Conduct simulations and prototype testing to validate design performance.
  • Analyze test data and implement design modifications to improve system performance.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in refrigeration and chiller technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and propose new design concepts.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales teams.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues in the field.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on system operation and maintenance.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks and related PDM).
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
  • Experience with CFD Thermal and Static Structural analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ASHRAE, AHRI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DFM principles and manufacturing processes and quality control.
