Full-Time SolidWorks Designer

We are hiring for the following position:

SOLIDWORKS Drafter/Designer

The SOLIDWORKS Drafter/Designer works closely with everyone in the company to assist in any way possible and is willing to do so when needed.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

Drafter/Designer Duties Include and are not limited to:

• Responsible for meeting project deadlines
• Responsible for providing technical information required for project budget estimates
• Collaborate with team on an approach to a customer’s problem
• Develop appropriate solutions with team for customer problems
• Write & develop project specifications
• Design detailed system models in 3D CAD
• Design parts in 3D CAD for use in our design library
• Creation of concept drawings for sales
• Creation of construction prints and project documentation packages
• Perform internal design reviews with all project disciplines
• Work with purchasing department to acquire material necessary to complete projects
• Assist sales with technical knowledge of system design and concept/construction drawings
• Provide estimates for quotation of systems
• Other duties as assigned

Drafter/Designer Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D design software preferred
• Working knowledge of 2D CAD design software preferred
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with a diversity of problems
• Capability to work independently without close supervision
• Computer & MS Office skills are required at an advanced level
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and principles
• Must exhibit the capability to generate problem solutions
• Ability to control costs, adhere to a schedule, and improve the quality of a product/service
