Job Description

The Senior Designer/Engineer specializing in Creo brings extensive expertise in 3D modeling and CAD design, utilizing Creo 10. With over 8-10 years of experience, including recent work in hydraulic systems, cylinder, and seal design, this role focuses on creating precise technical drawings, reverse engineering, validating and simplifying designs, and ensuring compliance with design standards. The position supports a small collaborative team as an individual contributor in a freelance/consultant capacity. Regular travel to the Mexico plant is required, and remote work is possible for candidates not local to the plant or other operations nationwide. We are growing, and opportunities for advancement are available.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D models using Creo software
  • Prepare technical drafting documentation
  • Conduct design validation to meet project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with industry design standards
  • Analyze and solve engineering problems
  • Simplify current designs to improve efficiency and manufacturability
  • Reverse engineer components as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of CAD design experience using Creo
  • 3+ years of experience in hydraulic systems, seals, and cylinder design, preferably in HPHT presses
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Design or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree in Drafting Technology or equivalent may be acceptable depending on experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years in CAD design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Design or equivalent
