Full-Time Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator

Available Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (M – TH)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Operate or tend to plastic molding machines to mold thermoplastic parts.
• Remove finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment, stamping identifying information on products when necessary.
• Handle and trim excess material from parts
• Turn valves and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times.
• Responsible for start-up and shut-down of the injection molding machines??
• Performing the color changes involved with machines
• Loading/unloading and inspection of parts
• Visually check parts for changes in color, texture and conformity with part standards.
• Assist material handler if required.
• Report any machine deficiencies to molding maintenance.
• Maintain equipment and department clean at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

• High school education or equivalent and
• 1+ years of experience operating plastic injection molding machines.
• Proficient with the functions and capabilities of injection molding machinery.
