Job Description

Envisioneering is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer** to provide mechanical engineering support for cutting-edge projects with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and various R&D radar programs. We require expertise at all levels, from design through systems integration, fabrication, and assembly, to ensure the successful deployment of operational test systems.

General Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
– Self-directed, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment.
– Capable of working independently with high-quality presentation skills.
– Significant experience in technical writing is a plus.

Desired Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:
– Basic understanding of thermodynamics and heat load calculations.
– Experience transitioning designs to fabrication and assembly.
– Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems integration.
– Proficiency in CAD applications, such as SolidWorks.
– Experience in load calculations relevant to nautical design scenarios (e.g., pitch/roll, wave slap, wind load).

Minimum Skills/Qualifications:
– A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire.
– Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
– 2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on design analysis.
– A willingness to learn and the ability to accept constructive feedback.

$92,000.00 – $145,000.00
