Job Description

Scout Space is building a new way to see and operate in space: with a new paradigm of data empowering every satellite to make space safer. Responsibilities:

  • Understand and develop mechanical requirements and constraints for spacecraft sensor subsystems
  • Contribute to mechanical design, thermal analysis, and structural analysis
  • Design and model optomechanical prototypes and test equipment
  • Support lab-based sensor integration and testing

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.
  • Rising Juniors, Seniors, or graduate students only.
  • SolidWorks or similar CAD software expertise
  • Experience in data analysis in Python, Matlab, or Excel
  • Hands-on fabrication and GD&T experience a plus

  • Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Standard pay for this internship is $30/hour.
