Job Description

Mistral, Inc. needs a Mechanical Engineer with 3-6 years of experience.

This is a high-profile, hands-on position that requires working with global teams.

The Mechanical Engineer I will support business activities of the Business Unit(s) and complete assigned engineering tasks for R&D projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, modify, and update parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Prepare and complete engineering change order packages
  • Create and refine technical, mechanical parts and assembly drawings/models to accurately capture design intent
  • Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and engineering-related documentation produced by others
  • Support the floor with needed documentation and take any feedback that they provide
  • Develop DXF files to be used by the floor in the manufacturing process
  • Utilizing the SolidWorks database; update drawings as needed, move data from other platforms to SolidWorks (i.e., Inventor)
  • Control and management of Technical Data Packages using SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and ERP system inventory and manufacturing tools
  • Other duties as directed by management

Essential Education, Skills, and Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency using SolidWorks, knowledge of Inventor is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience designing products using plastic, metal, or wood is highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Must have a can-do attitude and an ability to think outside of the box
