Full-Time Mechanical Engineer, Solidworks

Job Description

Metal Rollforming Systems designs, manufactures, fabricates and assembles industrial equipment for the roofing and siding industry. We are actively seeking to find a motivated individual to fill an immediate opening in our mechanical drafting department.

Duties will include:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and design mechanical components and systems
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks
  • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure the functionality and efficiency of mechanical designs
  • Generate technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
  • Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Assist in the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all mechanical designs

Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, overtime on Friday as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role
  • Proficiency or significant SolidWorks training, minimum 2 years of experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Data entry / Documentation experience
  • Microsoft Office Experience

Strengths & Aptitudes:

  • Experience in circuits (hydraulic/electrical) a huge plus
  • Strong, self-motivated work ethic
  • Ability to work well with others

$28 – $35/hr compensation depends on experience, which will be discussed at the time of the interview.
