Job Description

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices
  • Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, DFMEA, and risk assessments
  • Develop prototypes and support product verification and validation testing
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain
  • Conduct design reviews and implement design improvements
  • Support Design Transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing
  • Analyze product failures and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and applicable international standards
  • Participate in root cause investigations and CAPA activities
  • Support supplier qualification and manufacturing process improvements
  • Prepare engineering reports, test protocols, and technical documentation

Sciprex primarily uses Onshape as its preferred Computer-Aided Design CAD software, while also utilizing SolidWorks and Creo depending on the specific engineering team or project.  Design Engine can teach Onshape; however, the demand is still quite low for filling classes.
