We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II who will be responsible for creating equipment drawings and design concepts with guidance from senior engineering staff. The Mechanical Engineer II will also create and publish technical documentation and manuals for equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine design changes and improvements to rotating equipment. Specifically, assignments or projects with auxiliary equipment, including controllers, oilers, and electrical systems
  • Design robust and cost-effective improvements of assigned products with an emphasis on engineering, problem-solving, customer needs, and situational climate
  • Develop specific engineered solutions for customer projects
  • Write and edit technical manuals, including coordinating with stakeholders to obtain appropriate documentation
  • Cost reduction leadership (interacts with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering) to reduce costs
  • Implement best practices for design, drafting, manufacturing, and sales

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or pursuing the degree with progress and transcripts
  • 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated skills in mechanical design with a knowledge of mechanical systems and principles
  • Experience with drafting software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of stress analysis and materials selection
  • A familiarity with a wide variety of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing methods
  • Understanding of streamlining engineering processes, implementing products, and process improvements
  • Ability to travel domestically on occasion
  • Ability to lift parts with or without assistance up to 30lbs
