Job Description

NOV Texas Oil Tools, the leading specialty manufacturer and supplier of well control equipment for intervention operations, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Conroe, TX, location.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering.
• Prepare specifications for purchased components and (sub) systems.
• Prepare design proposals for new equipment and modifications to current designs.
• Work with drafters, designers, and other engineers, as assigned, to lead or participate in team efforts.
• Assist production with support in resolving problems arising in the shop during the manufacturing process.
• Accomplish all assigned tasks within the constraints of customer requirements, cost effectiveness, and Texas Oil Tools design standards.
• Prepare engineering design documentation and procedures for engineering processes, equipment operation, and performance testing.
• Maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the organization, acting on technical matters in the field.
• Follow all applicable department, company, and corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum.
• Working knowledge of Coiled Tubing Pressure Control Equipment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the design and development of oil and gas service equipment and/or pressure control equipment preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks or a comparable CAD system.
• Working knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
