Job Description

Have you ever wanted to be the lead mechanical engineer on cutting-edge products and technology? A successful candidate will be designing, releasing, validating, and documenting installation parts and kits to support grade control on construction equipment. The candidate will also be the mechanical lead for the team, defining mechanical requirements and working closely with suppliers. The candidate will work closely with marketing, engineering, program management, manufacturing, and OEM teams to release high-quality products for the earthmoving and paving industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Transform concepts into 3D part models and assemblies
  • Select suppliers
  • Validate designs in the intended application through analysis and testing
  • Create assembly instructions
  • Provide engineering support for supplier transitions, dual sourcing, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Perform FEAs, vibration & bolted joint analyses
  • Balance priorities
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for quality issues on production parts.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with people in multiple geographic locations
  • Ability to schedule and meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and oversee details needed to release a product
  • Passion for creating and improving processes
Preferred Skills, Abilities & Experience
  • Experience with Engineering design
  • Familiar with ProE/Creo
  • Experience with FEA and vibration analysis
  • Experience in manufacturing and distribution
  • Experience with purchasing and procurement
  • Education
  • 4 year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2-5 years experience
Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.

Hiring Range

$75,400.00–$100,000.00
