On-Site Mechanical Design & Operations Engineer (Entry-Level)

TPC Racing… – Posted by Roland DIBOAnywhere

Job Description

We are seeking an adaptable and proactive entry-level engineer with a strong foundation in CAD, principles of design, and mathematical fundamentals of engineering. This role is approximately 80% Design & Engineering and 20% Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to develop new, specialized skills in the automotive performance industry and the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, tight-knit environment and team. You will have the opportunity to take projects from initial concept through to final assembly and shipping. This position is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys seeing the direct impact of their work every day.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design (80%)

  • Automotive Design: Create and refine designs for high-performance automotive components, specifically focusing on suspension systems and performance parts.
  • Electronic Enclosures: Design protective and functional housings for electronic components, ensuring proper fitment and thermal management.
  • CAD Modeling: Develop production-ready models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Prototyping: Rapidly iterate designs using in-house 3D printing and traditional prototyping methods.
  • Advanced 3D Scanning: Utilize Artec Studio and 3D scanning hardware to capture complex vehicle geometries for reverse engineering.

Operations & Fulfillment (20%)

  • Assembly: Perform hands-on assembly of finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Logistics & Shipping: Manage the preparation and secure packaging of products for customer fulfillment.
  • Dynamic Support: As part of a small team, you will occasionally assist with other operational tasks as needed to ensure business goals are met.

Growth & Career Development

We offer a unique environment for learning and long-term career growth:

  • Direct Mentorship: Work closely with a Senior Engineer to learn industry best practices in CAD, GD&T, and manufacturing.
  • Project Ownership: While you will have guidance, you will be expected to take ownership of your assigned projects from start to finish.
  • Skill Expansion: Gain mastery in advanced metrology (3D scanning) and rapid prototyping in a real-world production setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Software: Familiarity in SolidWorks; Experience with Artec Studio is an advantage.
  • Flexibility: A “no task is too small” attitude. You are comfortable shifting from high-level design to hands-on assembly or shipping as the day requires.
  • Mindset: A self-starter who is eager to learn, take initiative, and work independently within a small team structure.

Pay: $63,805.74 – $76,841.32 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Required)

Work Location: In person
