Job Description

Fives Group is seeking a CAD Operator/Mechanical Designer for the Columbus, OH area.

Scope of Responsibility:
Drafting, detailing and design of industrial equipment of mechanical apparatus.
Updating red line drawings
Performing ECN (Engineering Change Notice)

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree program from a four-year College or an Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design Technology, similar and 2+ year of related experience.

Experience preferred:

  • Specialized mechanisms.
  • Machined weldments, structural components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Organized, detailed thought process.
  • Self-directed with excellent work ethic and strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a timely manner and accurately.
  • Ability to share ideas and work with other professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • 3D CAD design skills (SolidWorks)
  • 2D CAD design skills with AutoCAD.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
