Job Description

Aegis-Manufacturing-&-Engineering company is looking for practical problem-solvers who can work closely with operators, improve processes, and contribute directly to production efficiency and quality.

Role A: Assembly & Process Engineering

  • Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve assembly operations.
  • Troubleshoot and improve shop floor manufacturing processes.
  • Validate processes and lead pilot runs for new products or improvements.
  • Support capital equipment projects and implement lean manufacturing practices.
  • Use CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor preferred) to design and modify components.

Role B: Swiss CNC Programming & Machining

  • Program and modify Swiss CNC machines using G-code.
  • Convert existing parts/programs to run on newer machines.
  • Utilize CAM software (Mastercam, Edgecam, Esprit) to optimize machining operations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives in machining areas.
  • Collaborate with CNC supervisors and machinists to resolve production issues.

Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)

  • Spend approximately 50% of time on the shop floor, 50% in technical/engineering work.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues quickly and effectively.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including FMEA and lean manufacturing projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for tooling, processes, and equipment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience (2 years with strong technical aptitude will be considered).
  • Hands-on experience in assembly or machining environments.
  • CAD proficiency (Autodesk Inventor preferred; SolidWorks or Creo acceptable).
  • For Role B: Minimum 2 years of Swiss CNC programming experience.
  • CAM software experience (Mastercam, Edgecam, Esprit).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with FMEA, lean manufacturing, and process validation.
  • Exposure to both machining and assembly operations.
