Job Description

Boeing is seeking a Systems Design and Analysis Engineer who will join a team of engineers working with cross-functional teams, including representatives from Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Processes, Dynamics, Liaison Engineering, Technical Integration, Supplier Management, Production Operations, Systems Safety, and Program Management.  The candidate must be able to provide technical direction to teammates on mechanical design and effectively communicate with cross-functional team members.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems to establish the system design
  • Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.
  • Perform and document analyses. Manages supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
  • Prioritize, delegate, and track performance and documentation of analyses of F-15 & F/A-18 Fuel, Hydraulic, Secondary Power, & Fire Protection systems, selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design
  • Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts
  • Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) for Fuel &/or Hydraulics Subsystems
  • Lead activities related to 2D drawing based on 3D model-based redesign
  • Perform 2D drawing & 3D model-based lead design reviews
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) including 5-Why, Fishbone, & Advanced Cause/ Effects Analysis
  • Safety Management System (SMS) & Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) Support
  • Specification Development for Build To & Buy To Packages
  • Notice of Escape (NOE) resolution including containment, corrective action, & fleet impacts
  • Present Technical Issues to Boeing & US Government
  • Host & support supplier/ components issues resolution
  • Identify LEAN opportunities/ business capture
  • Support 2nd sourcing as well as Market Research/ Sole Source Justification & related FARs
  • Trains and coaches others
  • Work under minimal direction

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance
  • F-15 &/or F/A-18 Experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $115,600 – $156,400

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
