Responsible for the specification and design of complex hardware medical device systems, including leading the evaluation of new system architectures or technologies, such as custom sensors (specify, test, evaluation), new electronics and mechanical systems. Will lead a cross-functional team to define and prototyping new hardware and perform system evaluation. Will work closely with the manufacturing and process development teams to bring successful designs to production.

We partner with leading life sciences, medical device and government organizations to enable fast development, meaningful advances, and deployment at scale. Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to define, prototype, iterate and scale new products and technology.

• Work closely with the manufacturing and process development teams to bring successful designs to production.

• Lead the specification and design of complex hardware medical device systems, including evaluation of new system architectures or technologies, such as custom sensors (specify, test, evaluation), new electronics and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• BS with 8+ years experience, PhD with 5+ years experience in electrical engineering, bio engineering, mechanical engineering or other related field.

• Experience with development of medical or consumer hardware devices, and bringing products from prototype to mass production.

• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, including managing engineers and cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications:

• BS with 12+ years experience, PhD with 8+ years experience in electrical engineering, bioengineering, mechanical engineering or other related field.

• Experience with PCB design and using Altium PCB design tools

• Experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes including injection molding, sheet metal, casting and CNC machining, 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, ProE, AutoCAD or related software)

• Experience with microcontrollers and firmware development, programming and/or scripting languages (eg. Python, C/C++, etc), mechatronics, or electronics

• Familiarity designing and/or working with sensors and/or biological interface electronics (ex. Stimulators, heart rate sensors, blood pressure, temperature
