Job Description

Pure Power Engineering, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer (Solar/Design Engineer) in Denver, CO to:

  • Design and engineer Commercial, Industrial, and Utility PV solar systems between 100kW and 20MW+ in size. Develop construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Develop specifications, collect data, and complete utility interconnection applications and building permit applications.
  • Coordinate activities between clients, utilities, permit agencies, contractors, and other engineering firms.
  • Travel to project sites periodically to gather site-specific data as needed.
  • Site assessment and analysis, utilizing both on-site data collection and network tools.
  • Site-specific production analysis of PV arrays using models such as PVsyst.
  • Integrating energy storage systems into the solar PV system.
  • Provide mentorship and training to new and junior engineering personnel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires any amount of knowledge of the following, which can be obtained through work experience, course credit, and/or internships:

1. Engineering Drafting or Engineering Design Knowledge.

2. Low and/or Medium Voltage Knowledge.

3. Solar PV or Solar Cell Knowledge.

4. Engineering Software Knowledge, including AutoCAD or Solidworks, or CAD.

Telecommuting permitted. Domestic travel primarily throughout the U.S. required 10% of the time.

40 hours/week, $93,249.78 – $118,000 per year.
