What You’ll Do

As a NPD Design Engineer, you will lead the development of new tools and equipment from concept through production. You’ll manage engineering timelines, oversee testing and prototyping, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across departments to bring practical, high-performing solutions to life. You’ll also mentor a team of engineers, helping share the future of product development at Condux.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Product Development – Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production using a Stage-Gate process. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends. Ensure new products meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration – Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to meet project goals. Collaborate with product management, marketing, operations, and quality teams to align on objectives and drive successful project execution.
  • Engineering Design & Validation – Create and review engineering documentation and product specifications. Oversee prototyping and iterative testing to validate design concepts. Apply tools such as FEA and DFMEA to evaluate performance and mitigate risk.
  • Project Management – Manage timelines and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Support manufacturing during product launch and troubleshoot engineering issues as needed. Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in product development, ideally in a related industry
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Creo preferred) or significant training in Creo
  • Experience with prototyping, testing, and product validation
  • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with FEA, DFMEA, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Effective project management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience with complex assemblies that incorporate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
