Job Description

Turbo Machined Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer in the Aerospace and power Generation space, seeks a CAD/Solidworks Designer with 1-3 years’ experience to immediately join our engineering team. Turbo Machined Products is located in Frankfort, New York.

DUTIES:

  • Produce full scope, detailed 3-D renderings based on client specifications.
  • Work closely with designers/engineers to ensure production drawings reflect customer-critical requirements.
  • Provide complete, detailed, and accurate drawings to manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare production information (i.e., drawings) that provide the necessary information for programming, tooling, machining and assembly operations.
  • Provide detailed drawings for use in purchasing an outsourced product.
  • Maintain a library of standard designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work directly with shop floor personnel on issues and manufacturing concerns, ensuring continuous product and process improvements
  • Incorporate post-production updates of first article builds
  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Assess products and make appropriate changes to maximize Design-for-Manufacturability.
  • Interface with Designers to give feedback from Production that will enhance future designs.
  • Improve how the Production Drafting work is done to eliminate waste and improve the quality of the documentation.
  • Photograph finished products & create photographs/cut sheets as applicable.
  • Complete work orders, timesheets, and administrative paperwork as required.

REQUIREMENTS

* CAD (Solidworks required) 1-3 years+ experience as a 3D drafter.

* good organization skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written skills and experience in problem-solving in a team environment.

EDUCATION:

* Associate Degree in CAD or equivalent work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
