Contract to Perm CAD Mechanical Technician, SOLIDWORKS

Are you an experienced mechanical technician with strong CAD skills looking for a position with a leading company? R&E Automated Systems is looking for you to join our team! We are an industry-leading technical resource firm actively supporting our manufacturing clients’ efforts during build, launch & production, including some of the nation’s biggest companies. Our client requires a CAD-proficient mechanical technician with a great work ethic and communication skills.

Position Duties:

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and technical drawings
• Support manufacturing operations with technical expertise
• Perform quality inspections and measurements using precision instruments
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on technical projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs and changes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure completion of all assigned tasks

Skills Required:

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design/drafting using CAD software
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD programs (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills
• Experience with Automated Mobile Robots (AMR) or Automated Mobile Vehicles (AMV) a plus
• CMM experience a plus

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or related technical field
