Overview:
Continental is seeking a strong Mechanical Engineer to join our team responsible for the development of Transmission control systems. The variety of designs includes packaged electronics integrated with motors, gears or hydraulic system components.

Core Responsibilities:
* Organization of Engineering testing and design utilizing Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)
* Perform tolerance analysis
* Utilize technical expertise to support suppliers and manufacturing to improve quality
* Support the development of new technology
* Create and present technical reports that describe design concepts
* Provide design support at factories working closely with supplier quality and process engineers

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent considering course work
• 3+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years design experience in CAD
• Proficient in application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance to drawings
• Experience performing tolerance analysis considering part variation and assembly.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Engineering
• Experience in structural design and fabrication of injection molded plastic parts including integration of stamped components
• Experience in design including tool fabrication of die cast and stamped components
• Hydraulic design of valves, pumps and manifolds
• Design experience with linear actuation systems which may include motors, gears, and ball screws OR significant experience in hydraulic pump design.
• Electronic packaging design
