Job Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will perform engineering duties in planning and designing of tools, contacts, and mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.

* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
* Develop product designs using solid modeling and CAD software.
* Performs design calculations
* Prepare equipment or material specifications.
* Research, design, evaluate and manufacture mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
* Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems and processes.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
* Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
* Maintain proper documentation in accordance with general manufacturing standards customer specification and Dynomax Inc. policies.
* Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information and resolve manufacturing problems.
* Recommend design modifications or manufacturing process modifications to resolve issues in manufacturing.
* Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.

Our ideal Mechanical Engineer will also possess the following experience:

* Supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers and/or other technical support personnel.
* Project management
* Maintain positive communications and support between vendors and clients
* Application engineering
* Ability to lead a process and/or team
* Working knowledge of manufacturing and metal cutting process with an emphasis on EDM manufacturing
* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Job Requirements :

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
* Licensed engineer
* Proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD or equivalent
* Knowledge of the practical application of engineering, science and technology.
* Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
* Ability to provide customer and personal services. This includes the ability to conduct a needs assessment, meet quality standards and the ability to properly evaluate customer satisfaction.
* Excellent communication skills
* Working knowledge of GD&T and its principles
* Working knowledge of milling and turning methods and processes
