Elevator Designer/Mechanical Systems–Otis

Elevator Designer/Mechanical Systems–Otis


Mechanical engineering designers are required to work with scheduling, layout drafting, sales, project management, engineering, supply management and other entities in order to produce accurate contract engineered solutions. Outputs include, but are not limited to, supplier quotations requests, specifying bills of materials, manufacturing drawings, and field installation drawings.


Elevator Designer/Mechanical Systems–Otis


Qualifications Candidates must be:
-Excellent communicators and problem-solvers.
-Self-starters and able to work with minimal direction.
-Able to communicate a clear understanding of their subject matter, work in cross-functional teams, respect individual differences, welcome diverse thinking, and offer informed suggestions to improve processes.
-Proficient in AutoCAD, and Pro/Engineer/CREO (parts, assemblies and drawing creation).
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.


The ideal candidate would have:
-Proficiency with Revit 3D solid modeling software and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
-Familiarity with the construction industry and its conventions.
-Familiarity with mechanical elevator components (with emphasis on car frames, platforms and pit material).
-Education Associates degree in Mechanical Design Technology plus 2 years of related experience;
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
