			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Sustaining Engineer supports manufacturing improvement goals such as product cost reduction, improve overall product quality, implement improvements to address complaints, reduce product cycle times and validation of process improvements. In addition this position will support current development projects and provide or generate data for additional regulatory filings.  The individual in this position shall be hands on, a self-starter, works with little supervision and can provide guidance to project teams.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop, document and implement process improvements, including new parts, equipment &#038; tooling etc. Participate in project teams to investigate product complaints and implement design and/or process improvements</li>
<li>Identifies cost savings in both raw materials and processes, Make and validates the required changes to capitalize on these opportunities</li>
<li>Write &#038; revise work instructions along with drawing fabricated parts and equipment</li>
<li>Lead and participate in project teams in support of development activities. Ensures tasks are completed and meet established time frames</li>
<li>Support new product development including process development and resolution of manufacturability challenges</li>
<li>Performs other duties as required</li>
</ul>
<h2>Desired Skills &#038; Experience</h2>
<p><strong>Education:</strong><br />
Bachelors of Science and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent work experience. (Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering preferred)</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge &#038; Experience (Scope &#038; Complexity):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with formal problem solving techniques</li>
<li>Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical designs</li>
<li>Ability to perform Product Development Process activities and experience with regulatory requirements of design controls</li>
<li>Ability to utilize standard statistical analysis and problem solving techniques to determine product acceptance, setting tolerances and determining critical parameters</li>
<li>Ability to create process maps, value stream maps, CAD drawings, and schematics</li>
<li>Ability to write more advanced technical reports and test plans</li>
<li>Experience using CAD applications (i.e.: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro E, or other related software)</li>

This role will require international travel to China and working heavily with our overseas suppliers.</p>
<p>Manufacturing experience with stamping, die-casting, injection molding is required. You must be able to understand how parts are manufactured, but also know how to design them.</p>
<p>In order to excel in this role you must be able to work in a quick pace environment and have the ability to adjust to changing priorities.</p>
<p><strong>Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Function as Project Team Leader for small projects.</li>
<li>Manage projects and coordinate with others in Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing for new products.</li>
<li>Develop project schedules and budgets as well as insure compliance.</li>
<li>Schedules, develops agendas, facilitates and documents project meetings.</li>
<li>Support project activities; provide guidance and expertise to Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Distribution to ensure all objectives are met.</li>

<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Bachelor&#8217;s Degree.</li>
<li>2 – 5 Years of experience in engineering.</li>
<li>Must possess a high level of Mechanical engineering aptitude including a broad knowledge of engineering materials as well as an understanding of manufacturing process associated with these materials.</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.</li>
<li>CAD Skill Level: Basic ProE / SolidWorks or other.</li>
<li>International travel 40% first year then 20% second year and 5-10% the remaining years.</li>
<li>Manufacturing experience with stamping, die-casting, injection molding is required. Ability to understand how parts are manufactured and designed is critical in this role.</li>

<p>The Product Engineer will collaborate with a multi-faceted design team to create new high force lifting and tool products. The product engineer will proactively look for opportunities to create new designs to improve on/replace existing technologies that will provide potential for a competitive edge of Enerpac products in the market place. The engineer will accomplish these goals by combining a creative perspective and approach with existing applicable product related designs and engineering principles. The product engineer will be a self motivated initiator who can work independently, as well as contribute and work in a team environment.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and develop new lifting and high force tool platforms.</li>
<li>Research and analyze data (such as customer design requirements, specifications, standards, manuals) to establish concept, feasibility, and applicability of product design.</li>
<li>Perform product life cycle failure analysis and implement corrective action as required.</li>
<li>Maintain and update engineering documentation through ECO process and 3D modeling.</li>
<li>Address and resolve production and customer problems related to product design.</li>
<li>Review new products to insure they meet expectations before release. Communicate existing design issues to product development project manager.</li>
<li>Responsible for quality improvement and cost reduction of assigned products. Share responsibility meeting departmental cost reduction goals.</li>
<li>Responsible for direction of activities and functions related to product design for cost, quality and delivery.</li>
<li>Maintain positive working relationship with operations team members.</li>
<li>Effectively communicate with customers, distributors and sales personnel.</li>
<li>Other duties which generally require independent, self-directed activity as may be required or assigned.</li>

<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or equivalent related engineering experience.</li>

<li>Develop or direct accurate 3D models on CAD, bills of materials, DVP&amp;R’s and other documentation necessary for the conceptualization, documentation, validation, release and implementation of mechanical security products.</li>
<li>Ensure product designs perform as intended, are reliable, and are safe for manufacturing and the end user.</li>
<li>Lead design reviews using FMEA and DFM/A techniques.</li>
<li>Develop and oversee the execution of the Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&amp;R) for products being developed.</li>
<li>Analyzes and interprets engineering data for new products, product enhancements or maintenance</li>
<li>Perform engineering calculations to support product designs</li>
<li>Interact with Marketing, IP team, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers to meet the specifications and needs of the customer in the development of new reliable products for the market</li>
<li>Provide engineering and technical assistance to all Product Engineering customers, both internal and external.</li>
<li>Thoroughly documents product designs, project activities, communications, verification results and recommendations as required.</li>
<li>Direct the activities of Designers working on assigned projects</li>
<li>Actively engage in the development and use of “best practices” as it pertains to product development and mechanical lock design knowledge</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>B.S. within the Mechanical Engineering discipline or a related field, an advance degree is preferred</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years in product design role with exposure to the following areas: small mechanism design, stamping, machined component design, injection molded part design, and die cast part design.</li>
<li>Proficient with Pro/E or SolidWorks CAD platforms.</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and critical path software (MSProject). Experience with gated New Product Process and Agile software a plus.</li>
<li>Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within an organization.</li>
<li>Possess well-developed product knowledge, problem solving skills, and computer and project management capabilities</li>
<li>Pro-active and demonstrates sound engineering qualities</li>
<li>Willingness to travel globally as required</li>
<li>Proficient in &#8220;Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance&#8221;</li>
<li>Proficient in tolerance stack-up analysis techniques</li>
<li>Knowledge of &#8220;Design for Lean 6 Sigma&#8221; or equivalent LEAN techniques</li>

<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>

<li>Design and Solid Modeling of Beverage Dispensing Equipment and Parts.</li>
<li>Bill of Material Creation and Maintenance with Oracle Business System.</li>
<li>Write Lab Test Requests and occasionally perform Lab Tests.</li>
<li>Work closely with other business cross functions in order to speed launch timing.</li>
<li>Apply structured problem solving techniques to eliminate product non-conformance.</li>
<li>Support resolution of major production and customer issues.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Job Requirements / Working Conditions:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of five years of related experience required.</li>
<li>Familiar with Six Sigma principles.</li>
<li>Green Belt from accredited source preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with electromechanical components (motors, solenoids, mechanisms, etc).</li>
<li>Must be proficient in Solid Modeling &#8211; Pro E Preferred.</li>

<li>Proven experience in machine, power train, large conveyance and industrial mechanical system engineering or design</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to balance productivity on multiple projects simultaneously</li>
<li>Proven experience in developing production drawings in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent</li>
<li>Proven experience in classical and FEA analysis techniques (Cosmos preferred)</li>
<li>Proven experience in stress analysis and fatigue analysis</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>FE/EIT certification</li>
<li>Amusement ride or show systems experience</li>
<li>Experience in a manufacturing (metal or weld shop) environment</li>
<li>PE License</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Education:</strong><br />
Proven Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited curriculum</p>
